Located outside Austin, Texas, I am currently writing a work of creative historical nonfiction based in WWII England.
Yvonne Caputo has been a teacher, the head of human resources in a retirement community, a corporate trainer and consultant, and a psychotherapist. She has a masters degree in education and in clinical psychology. Her book, Flying with Dad, is a story about her relationship with her father through his telling of WWII stories.
Yvonne was a teacher in the Erie City School District for 18 years. She went on to be a therapist and a trainer for the Penn Foundation Employee Assistance Program for 9 years, and as the Vice President of Human Resources for Frederick Living, a retirement community. While she has retired from her full-time position, she continues to offer private therapy sessions, and management training for St. Luke’s Penn Foundation on a part-time basis.
Yvonne has presented the book, Flying with Dad to retirement communities, public libraries, podcasts, and national museums. She serves as a board member for Valley Choral Society and the 467th Bomb Group Association.
She is married to her best friend, and is the proud mother and step-mother to three wonderful children and three marvelous grandchildren. A delightful labradoodle rounds out her fam
