Lynn McLaughlin's mission is to lead and empower us to make conscious and positive choices when facing a crisis. Her podcast, "Taking the Helm" gives people a voice to share how they steered themselves in the right direction. A new episode is published every Wednesday.
As a best-selling and award-winning author, Lynn is about to publish a children's book series she has co-authored with her niece. The series will help children learn to understand and manage their emotions at a young age.
She is also a brain tumour survivor, professional speaker, community volunteer and helps aspiring authors find their way through the path to publishing.
Lynn now teaches at her local college and was previously a Superintendent of Education, Principal, Vice-Principal and elementary school teacher.
Although she would say it was a lifetime ago, Lynn retired as the Executive Officer of H.M.C.S. Prevost after thirteen years in the Canadian Forces Naval Reserve. She was one of a growing number of women moving into executive roles at that time.
For 20 some years, B helped major non-profits live into their vision for the world and for five years she led events for a major for-profit. Ten of these years was with the not-for-profit publisher Forward Movement Publications. Eight years ago she founded Spirit Moxie which promotes how we can all do “little things that can change the world” — and in the process also change ourselves. To help expand and explain this, she recently published the globally distributed book "Moxie Moves: 10 easy ways to make a powerful difference."
A writer and published poet, B is known for her Conversation posts on the Spirit Moxie website, for being calm during COVID, and for being someone you don’t want near anything that involves using scissors or glue.
